On browsing through my knitting books I find that I have two copies of Franklin Habit's funny book of knitting-related cartoons called "It Itches".
All you have to do to win is to leave a comment and tell me the name of your very favorite knitting book and why you like it so much. That's it, easy!!
Cut-off for entries is 11:59pm (mountain time) next Thursday and I'll draw a name at random and announce the winner one week from today, Friday, February 18th. I mail the book out to the winner the next day, no matter where he/she lives. Good luck!

My favorite knitting book has to be The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Budd. I've learned so much about knitting, patterns, sizing from it. Plus, being pattern-inept, her patterns and directions make sense.
Since I read your post this morning I've been trying to figure out which book I should tell you about. I looked at my bookshelf and I have so many favorites that I simply just can not choose.
So many books and projects so little time.
I don't really have any knitting books, but I do have a book called "Family Circle's Weekend Crafts" from 1991 that has a good "knitting basics" section that I have referred to often. I found it when my parents moved and I was cleaning out their old house (which was the same time I was learning to knit). I like this book because it helped me understand the basics right when I needed it!
Hands down, bought while I lived in Fla in 1975-76.
